

Dr. Götz Albert
is Managing Partner at Lupus alpha, CIO and Head of Portfolio Management Small & Mid Caps. He has been with Lupus alpha since 2003, having previously worked for DB Cargo AG and then as Head of Equity Analysis at IndependentResearch. Before entering the financial sector, he worked in university research. Today he heads the largest Small & Mid Caps team in Germany.

Maximilian Biagosch
is Global Head of Real Assets & Head of Europe at CPP Investments, the largest public pension fund in Canada with around CAD 590 billion in pension assets. Prior to this role, Maximilian was responsible for global capital markets activities at Permira Advisers for more than seven years. He also worked in investment banking for Deutsche Bank and BNP Paribas in London.

Prof. Dr. Markus Brunnermeier
teaches economics at Princeton University and is Director of the Bendheim Center for Finance. His research focuses on international financial markets, monetary theory and macroeconomics, with particular emphasison bubbles, liquidity, financial crises and digital money. His award-winning book “The Resilient Society” analysed the causes and consequences of economic crises.

Dr. Herbert Diess
is Chairman of the supervisory board of Infineon Technologies AG. During his career, he held leading positions at the Institute for Machine Tools and Industrial Management (iwb) at the Technical University of Munich and at Bosch. At BMW, he was a member of the board of management responsible for purchasing, suppliers and development. Finally, as chairman of the board of management, he led the Volkswagen Group into the field of electromobility.

Björn Glück
is a Partner at Lupus alpha and has worked in portfolio management since 2005. As a specialist for German small and mid caps, he is responsible for the Lupus alpha Smaller German Champions fund. While studying business administration at the Goethe University in Frankfurt, he worked as a student trainee at BCA AG and Goldman Sachs. Previously, Björn Glück trained as a banker at Dresdner Bank.

Timm Höynck
has been Head of Portfolio Management at R+V since 2016 and is responsible for traditional investments, including private equity and private debt, for all R+V companies. He is also a member of the executive boards of Chemie Pensionsfonds AG, R+V Pensionsfonds AG and R+V Pensionskasse AG. Ralf Lochmüller
is Managing Partner and CEO of Lupus alpha. He is responsible for Strategy & Planning as well as Marketing & Corporate Communications. He has been active in asset management for more than 30 years – among others at Chase AG in Frankfurt and at Invesco, the American-British investment company. In October 2000, he founded Lupus alpha with four partners.

Prof. Dr. Thomas de Maizière
has been in politics for more than 30 years. In 2005, Angela Merkel appointed him Head of the Federal Chancellery. In 2009, he became Federal Minister of the Interior and in 2011, he was appointed Federal Minister of Defence. From 2013 to 2018, he was again Federal Minister of the Interior and remained a member of the German Bundestag until 2021. Since June 2018, he has been an honorary professor of constitutional law and political science at the University of Leipzig.

Dr. Tobias Ohler
is CFO and member of the executive board of Wacker Chemie AG, where he was previously Head of Group Controlling and Head of Corporate Raw Materials Purchasing. Prior to his current position, he was CFO of Siltronic AG, a former subsidiary of Wacker Chemie. An economist and industrial engineer, he began his career as a consultant and Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company.

Wolfgang Ratheiser
Vice President Corporate Finance & Treasury at Porsche AG, is responsible for group treasury and has overall responsibility for asset management. Previously, he was Corporate Treasurer Asia Pacific/Middle East for a US blue chip company in Hong Kong and CFO at Johnson Controls for the Automotive Division Metal Europe. He also worked for Henkel in Asia and KPMG in Austria.

Jeffrey Rathke
is President of the American-German Institute at Johns Hopkins University in Washington, D.C. He was previously Deputy Director of the Europe Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). Prior to that, he spent 24 years in senior positions at the U.S. Department of State, including as Director of the press office, Deputy Chief of staff to the NATO Secretary General in Brussels and at US missions in Berlin, Dublin, Moscow, Riga and Kuala Lumpur.

Alexander Raviol
is Partner and CIO Alternative Solutions at Lupus alpha. After graduating in physics, he gained extensive capital market experience among others as an Asset Manager at Dresdner Bank in Frankfurt and as a Portfolio Manager at UBSand HSH Nordbank AG. In 2006, he joined Lupus alpha as Head of Quality & Risk Management, where he was responsible for product development of alternative investment strategies.

Corinna Wohlfeil
initially worked as an Investment Advisor after graduating with a degree in business studies with a focus on banking, before assuming responsibility for Deutsche Bank’s Business TV in 1997. In 2001, she joined the news channel n-tv as apresenter and editor. She quickly became known to an audience of millions through the daily stock market programme “Telebörse” and her live reports from the Frankfurt trading floor.

Dr. Melinda Crane
is a sought-after political commentator. An experienced journalist, lawyer and political economist, she analyses geopolitical developments and transatlantic politics for various German radio and television stations as well as international organisations and corporations. She also hosts political programmes and news magazines.
